7 Web Design Tips That Everybody Should Know

As a web designer you are always trying to improve your skill and knowledge so that you can design better. Here are few useful tips to help you design better. Hopefully the tips given below will come handy while designing your own website or motivate you to design a great site for your client.

Planning:
Planning the architecture of the website is one of the fundamental aspect while designing it. Create a Site Map page. It will list all the pages your website has. This planning stage also includes registering the domain name, checking for hosting package, and working on references for the Website design.

Information:
Developing the information architecture and mapping the website’s purpose by writing an informative content is another important thing for your website to succeed. Make sure users understand and can follow the links with ease. Just make sure the pages in the site are easily accessible.

Coding:
Make sure the coding of your site is flawless. Check and recheck the HTML and CSS code of your site so that your site looks great. And check the back end code to make sure that your site is up always and available online all the time.  

Specialization:
As a web designer you may be working on front-end design, UI, UX or on the development part. Whichever part you may be working on, just be sure all of them are complementary to each other. If they are not coherent, user may get confused while browsing your website.  

Color and Fonts:
Make sure you select a suitable color scheme and font to match the theme of the site. If these two are not complementary to the objective of the site, your site may not be a success.

Images and Content:
While planning your site, choose images which are expressive and matching to the idea of the site. Also make sure you write content which explain the objective if the site, and help users to browse your site easily and comfortably.

Project Management:
Make a descent and realistic work plane. Keep your resources in mind while deciding on how long your project might take. Releasing an incomplete project may create issues. Try to use a time-tracking tool or a project management software to complete your project successfully. It will help you to keep track of small issues which you may forget otherwise.
